Privacy policy for Stomp! Sever! Siege!
Last updated: November 6, 2026
Stomp! Sever! Siege! is a multiplayer strategy game made by Doug Squires. This page explains what the game stores about you, why, and how to get rid of it.
What the game stores
Your account. You sign up with an email address and a password. The password is stored only as a hash by our authentication provider; we never see it. Your email is used to sign you in and to send password resets. It is not shown to other players.
Your display name. The empire name you choose is shown to other players in games, on the leaderboard and in the weekly in-game newscast. Pick one you are happy to have seen.
Game data. Every game keeps the orders you give, the state of the map on each turn, the results, and your rating changes. Other players in a game see the parts of it the game rules show them. Finished games stay in the history so ratings and the leaderboard add up.
Device notifications. If you allow notifications, the game keeps a push token for your device so it can tell you when a turn starts. On Android this token comes from Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging; on iOS from Apple Push Notification service. Those services receive the notification text (the game and turn) in order to deliver it.
Which build you run. The game records the app version, build number and platform you last used, so that a bug report can be matched to a build and so that builds too old to play can be told to update.
That is all. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking libraries, no advertising identifiers, and no location, contacts or other device data.
Who else sees it
Your data is held by Supabase, the hosting provider for the game's database and sign-in. A few other services each see one piece of it, only to do their job:
- Notifications pass through Google (Android) or Apple (iOS), as described above.
- Password-reset emails are sent through Resend, which receives your email address to deliver them.
- The weekly newscast is voiced and animated by Hedra (with ElevenLabs speech), which receives the episode's script, including the display names it mentions.
No one else receives your data, and it is never sold.
Data travels encrypted between the app and the servers.
Deleting your data
Open Account in the app and choose Delete account. That removes your email and sign-in, forgets your devices, drops you from any game still running, and replaces your name with "Deleted player" in finished games (their results stay, since other players' ratings depend on them).
You can also email support@stompseversiege.com from the address you signed up with and ask for the same thing, even without the app; see Delete your account.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep accounts for them. If you believe a child has made one, email support@stompseversiege.com and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top moves and the new text is published at the same address.
